2015 JAMB UTME Registration Fee Is N700

This is to infrom the general public that it only costs N700 Naira to register for the 2015 JAMB UTME. 

Note only  CBT/ICT centers where they are to register for 2015 JAMB should not charge them more then N700.00 to complete the application and get two printed copies of their e-Slip. This has also been published by JAMB on their website.

Clarification on JAMB Registration Fee for 2015/2015 UTME

Candidates are to note that the N700 we are talking about here is what they will pay  to get registered at any CBT center they visit. This is not the same as the cost of purchasing scratch card for registration, which costs N4, 5000. That will be done at designated banks  nationwide.

IMPORTANT NOTE: UTME 2015 Biometrics: Only DIGITAL PERSONA Scanner is allowed for FingerPrints capture.

List of JAMB UTME 2015 Registration Centers in Nigeria - Check Nearest Centre Here

Here we are building a list of 2015 JAMB UTME Registration Centers that have been officially accredited by the exam body. The 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration will not be done in Cyber Cafes like we are used to. ICT/CBT centers will be used for application and registration.
 

From all indications, mainly big and credible institutions will be used as registration centers. At the time of writing this post, ICT and CBT centers of Universities have been accredited as official JAMB registration centers for 2015 UTME. We are trying to compile a list of accredited centers here. The aim of doing this?

This list to help candidates to get centers located around them. We also know that fake centers looking to scam candidates will spring up, hence, we aim to help guide candidates who want to register for the exam to choose only accredited centers. 

We know we cannot lay our hands on all center but we will try as much as possible to get most of them.

JAMB Request for More CBT Centres

The JAMB Registrar Prof. Dibu Ojerinde during a meeting with 2nd Technical Committee meeting on 2014/2015 Admissions to degree, Nigeria Certificate in Education and National Diploma and Awarding Institutions held in Minna, called on Nigerians to partner with the board in establishing more CBT centres to accommodate candidates in the 2015 UTME.

JAMB had earlier stated its decision to adopt only CBT Mode in 2015 UTME.

The 2015/2016 UTME Registration will last between Monday September 15, 2014 and Thursday January 15, 2015, while the website closes Monday January 19, 2015.

JAMB Acknowledged for Conducting a Successful CBT Examination

According to the report, the African Pride Empowerment Empire, a non-Governmental Organization, has commended the success recorded by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, (JAMB) in conducting the 2014 Computer Based Test, (CBT) Examination.

The president of the African Pride Empowerment, Mr. Godwin Uwagbale, while speaking with newsmen said that the CBT UTME examination is a good one in curbing examination malpractice in Nigeria.

According to him, no developed country in the world can attain any form of advantage through examination malpractice; it is only those without vision that subscribe to it.

All Withheld JAMB 2014 CBT Results Will Be Released

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday, 1st June, 2014, said candidates who sat for the Computer Based Test (CBT) and are yet to receive their results should proceed to check their results again.

Supervisor, Yaba College of Technology (YabaTech) CBT centre, Lagos, Mrs. Ebere Okeke, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Reacting to complaints of missing results, Mrs. Okeke said wrong or incorrect GSM number might cause the delay or missing result. The supervisor also said in most cases, the delay could be caused by delay in processing of the result or network problem, but noted that it was nothing to worry about.

She said the problem might also be caused by individual negligence and candidates who did not carefully fill their numbers during registration.

Mrs. Okeke said the CBT mode was devoid of missing results, adding that the computers will mark immediately the candidates start writing the examination. She said candidates who sat for the CBT examination would receive their results within 48 hours through their phone Short Message Service (SMS).

According to Okeke, during registration, candidates fill GSM numbers that the results of their examination will be sent to, but some candidates submit wrong numbers in the process.
“Some candidates are experiencing delay or have not received their results because they submitted wrong or incorrect GSM numbers.

Some candidates have either misplaced their numbers or changed them; as such, the computer could not deliver the result after the examination,” she said.

JAMB CBT Exam at Digital Bridge Institute on 26th May Shifted to 31st May

It was gathered that the JAMB CBT candidates that were supposed to write their exams on the 26th of May at the Digital Bridge Institute DBI in Lagos could not do so due to power outage in the centre.

Consequently their exams were shifted to 31st May 2014 by 11.am.

According to a JAMB official some of the candidates were coming from far distance and it won’t be conducive writing the exam at night, hence the need to shift the exam since the power problem could not be fixed immediately.

Some of the affected candidates called on JAMB to make sure there is no such occurrence again, saying it is quite demoralizing to have prepared so hard to write an examination only to be told otherwise at the last moment.

Jamb Update - 14 Inmates Write JAMB 2014 CBT Exams In Ikoyi Prison Centre

Mr. Ayodele spoke at the Ikoyi Prison centre of the ongoing 2014 Computer Based Test of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB).

The News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) reports that over 600,000 candidates applied for the examination under the CBT platform and the Ikoyi Prison centre is one of the 16 venues of the exercise in Lagos, Nigeria.

He told NAN that 14 inmates sat for the CBT at the prison on Monday.

According to Mr. Ayodele, this is the first time the inmates are allowed to take part in the jamb computer based examination.

He said that the government under the current dispensation had shown its commitment in achieving Education For All, through its various transformation programmes on education. (I hope this applies to Polytechnics that has been on strike for over 10 months now)

Mr. Ayodele Obarewo said and i quote; “I want to commend the Federal Government for creating this platform where inmates are prepared and enrolled for external examinations such as this.
“Before now, inmates were perceived as never do wells and that nothing good could come out of the Nigerian Prisons.

“We want to assure the public that a lot of positive things are taking place here in an attempt to reform these persons, with a lot of them showing signs of positive changes.
“We encourage them here to come to this our school and co-opt their fellow inmates that are better read, to assist in taking them on various subjects.

“Some of them had written the 2013 Nov/Dec GCE, organised by WAEC and have made wonderful results and thereafter, we encouraged them to sit for this examination,”

The principal said he was hopeful that the candidates would perform well in the UTME.

JAMB UTME CBT Result 2014 Out - Click on How to Check Your Result

JAMB UTME CBT 2014 result has been released online and all candidates who sat for the 19th May 2014cbt exam can now check their result.

According to the latest information reaching our educational news publishing desk, which reveals that the JAMB CBT result (2014 UTME) has been released and uploaded on Jamb official result-checking portal. www.jamb.org.ng.

However, all Candidates who took part in the JAMB Computer-based-test for 2014 UTME can now check their result online using the guidelines shared below.

According to JAMB Biometric Operator, Mr. Buhari Aliyu, who disclosed that that a total number of (three hundred ad thirty two) 332 candidates were screened for the first session, and 342 for the second session, as against the 350 expected candidates on the first day of the Jamb CBT examination.

2 Impersonator Arrested during JAMB CBT in Yabatech - Details

Saturday’s Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB organised Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME did not go without incident as two persons suspected to be impostors were arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC at the Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH venue of the Computer Based Test, CBT.

A JAMB official, Mrs Ebere Okeke,who spoke with reporters said that one of the suspects presented himself as a candidate at the centre but that his thumb print and picture did not correspond with the information on JAMB registration data.

“The original candidate is Rasaq Sheu with registration number 47288350GJ and examination number C07501029, while the impersonator is Salako Olatunji, a 20-year-old tutor in a private school in Ogun.

“We looked at the picture on our verification system and the person standing before us and we discovered that he was trying to impersonate.”

Okeke, who is an Assistant Director in JAMB, said that the original owner of the examination stood somewhere watching the impersonator but when problem started he turned himself in for questioning.

One of the suspects, Olatunji, confessed that he was assisting his friend to gain admission into the university because he gave him 160 dollars to pay for his U.S. Visa fee.

JAMB 2014 Know Why CBT is the Best Mode for UTME – Prof. Ojerinde

The JAMB Registrar Professor Dibu Ojerinde in a statement has said that the CBT mode of examination remains the best for the following reasons:

-It provides better platform for the candidates to articulate their educational pursuit,

-It eliminates result black-out or incomplete results,
Eliminates examination malpractice,

-Eliminates examination malpractice,

-Enhances prompt release of scores two hours after the examination, among other benefits too numerous to mention,” the statement said.

According to him the CBT test will hold in over 163 centres in Nigeria and abroad, saying the May 17 to 31 dates remains unchanged and advised candidates to reprint their e-slips to confirm their exam dates.

He also said that about 616,000 candidates are expected to sit for the examination with over 250 prisoners in Kaduna and Ikoyi prisons.

He further added that the move to have CBT as the only mode of UTME next year stands non-negotiable and called on Nigerian to embrace it as a revolution in the examination industry.

NOTICE Jamb Extends Closing Date for CBT Application Form to April 6th 2014

This is to inform the general public and all interested persons/candidates that The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), has extended the closing date for the sale of application forms for the Computer Based Test, CBT, to Sunday, April 6, 2014.

The extension, according to the board, would enable more candidates who want to apply for admission into any of the tertiary institution in Nigeria. And also this extension is enabled to help those who could not register for the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) mode. This is also to ensure that every Nigerian is given equal educational opportunity. (opportunity my foot? When only 20% or less will be admitted)

The Board wishes to state that it would shut its portal/website after the expiration of this new date to allow for proper logistics and planning in preparation for the 2014 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Computer Based Test mode scheduled to begin from May 17.”
