FUTMINNA Released Academic Calendar for 2014/2015 Academic Session

The authorities of Federal University Minna has release the approved academic calendar for the 2014/2015 academic session.

FIRST SEMESTER: MONDAY 8TH DECEMBER, 2014 TO SATURDAY 16TH MAY, 2015, 23WEEKS (ONLINE REGISTRATION 4 WKS, LECTURES 16WKS AND EXAMS 3WKS)

Wednesday 3rd December, 2014 – Sunday 4th January, 2015 - Online registration for all students (4 weeks)

Monday 8th December, 2014 – Saturday 20th December, 2014- Arrival of new students (2 weeks)

Monday, 22nd December, 2014 – Saturday 4th January, 2015 - Christmas break (2 weeks) for staff as part of their Annual Leave (Mandatory for all staff)

Saturday, 4th January, 2015 - Arrival of all students to the Campus

Monday, 5th January, 2015- Lectures commence for all students

Thursday, 29th January, 2015- Matriculation Ceremony of new intakes (2014/2015 session)

Monday, 27th April, 2015 – Saturday 16th May, 2015 - First Semester Examinations for all levels (3 weeks)

Monday, 18th May – Saturday, 31st October, 201 - SIWES (24 weeks) for all Schools with exception of SAAT and SSTE students.

Monday, 18th May, 2015 – Saturday, 30th May, 2015 - First Semester Break (2 weeks)

Thursday 25th June, 2015 - School Board to consider First Semester Results

Wednesday, 15th July, 2015- Special Senate to consider First Semester Results

Every Wednesday of the week, Lectures to end by 2:00p.m Lecture free for Sporting activities for all students.

SECOND SEMESTER, 2014/2015- MONDAY, 1ST JUNE, 2015 – SATURDAY, 3RD OCTOBER, 2015 (18 WEEKS)

Monday, 1st June, 2015- Lectures commence for all students

Monday, 6th July, 2015 – Saturday, 11th July, 2015- Sport week (Lecture free for students from12:00noon daily for a week).

Monday, 14th September, 2015 – Saturday, 3rd October, 2015 - Second Semester Examination for all levels (3 weeks)

Monday, 5th October, 2015 – Saturday, 14th November, 2015 - Second Semester Long Vacation Break (6 weeks)

Thursday, 12th November, 2015- School Boards to consider Examination Results

The 3rd Saturday of every month has been declared for staff fitness exercise as from 6.30am – 12:00noon. (All staff are advised to turn up for the exercise).

FUTMINNA 2014/2015 Online Registration for Admitted Candidates - How to Upload Document

All successfully admitted students of FUTMINNA whom have paid the acceptance fee can now upload their documents for clearance.

Candidates should visit the school's portal at: eportal.futminna.edu.ng.

- Candidates would then login as existing users using the student ID and password.

_ When login successfully candidates can now click on the "Academic Records" link on their page.

- Candidates can now upload their documents (I.e birth certificate, first and second sitting results, jamb result slip, referee letter etc) on the academic record page and fill other records. Documents are to to be scanned.

- other instructions are on the portal.

Note: Screening Exercise starts on 8 December, 2014.

FUTMINNA Students Arrested For Cultism

Two students of FUTMINNA have been arrested for cult related activities.

The duo, a 500- level computer science student and another 200- level student were said to belong to the Neo-Black Movement (NBM) a.k.a Black Axe.

The two students were arrested alongside 8 other suspects following a tip-off as they were planning an initiation.

At the point of arrest the police recovered two locally made pistols, three live ammunition 9mm caliber, three axes and three pairs of fraternity uniforms.

According to the 500-level student, who claimed to be the leader of the gang, said he was initiated four years ago to fight injustice and oppression in FUT, Minna and also to get connected. He however, regretted his involvement with cultism.

When asked what advice he would give to students, this is what he said, “I don’t advise even my enemy to belong to this gang because there is nothing to gain from it. I personally am regretting now. Cultism is not good.”

2014/2015 FUTMNINNA Pre-degree Online Registration Procedure

Below are Online Registration guidelines for pre-degree students 2014/201;

Visit www.futminna.edu.ng to print admission letter.

2. Proceed to CPES for physical screening and collection of PINs.

3. Login to the portal with your form number (username) and portal access PIN.

4. Click on ‘payment’ link at left pane of your portal.

- A payment information page will be generated for you to enter.

- Confirm these information and click on ‘submit’ to proceed to FUTMinna College paywindow.

Payment is done through Debit Card (MasterCard – Most preferred) or Verve and Interswitch mag stripe.

- Enter ATM Debit card details (Card number, expiry date, CVV2 i.e. the last 3 digits behind your card, and Card Pin number).

Note: This automatically debits your account with ₦75,000.00 for Pre-Degree Programme; and ₦115,200.00 for IJMB Programme. Also, ₦250.00 for bank commission is charged on each transaction.

-If payment is successful, the screen will display all the data you previously entered and a print button to print the payment document.

You should also click the acknowledgment slip link to print and complete the online registration.

5. Get subject’s combination PIN from CPES

6. Click on ‘course’ link; enter the PIN to complete course registration

7. Click on ‘upload’ link to upload scanned documents.

8. Click on ‘personal detail’ to complete the form.
