FUTA pre degree admission list for 2014/2015 is  now out on the school admission portal. Candidates seeking admission and have applied for the pre degree programme of Federal University Of Technology, Akure are hereby informed.
 
Candidates that applied for admission into the Pre-degree Science (PDS) Programme of the Federal University of Technology, Akure are hereby informed that the list admitting students into the 2014/2015 academic session has been released after approval from the school authorities. The PDS Programme is full time, and will run for one academic session of Two (2) semesters. See the list as uploaded on the school portal.

Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Students Depart to the States For an Exchange Programme

Nevertheless Nigeria students are good and vibrant just that we lack the facilities to be the best we are designed for. Eight students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State have travelled to the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, US, for an international exchange programme.

FUTA Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, while speaking at a pre-departure event organized for the beneficiaries, advised them to be upright and focus on their programme in order to achieve excellence in their academic pursuit.

The students are the second batch from FUTA to benefit from the exchange programme between the university and FAMU.

The collaboration, which began in 2013, will enable the students to proceed for their master’s degrees as well as earn the FAMU postgraduate certificates.

The Chairman, Committee of Deans and Dean, School of Sciences, Prof. Ibiyinka Fuwape, counselled them to remain focused in their studies.

She said, “America rewards excellence. It will take care of you but you have to excel.”

She further urged them to be good ambassadors of the university and the country.

2014/2015 FUTA Admission into Advanced Basic Science Programme Application Out

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University Advanced Basic Science (UABS) Programme of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. The UABS Programme is designed to prepare candidates for direct entry admission into 200 level undergraduate degree programmes offered by the Federal University of Technology, Akure and other Universities within and outside the country.

During the programme, candidates will be eligible to register for:
i. Advanced Level Cambridge International Examination (CIE).
ii. Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) Examination.
iii. Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination.

Admission Requirements:
Candidates should possess five Credit passes in WASC, NECO, GCE at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects from English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Economics, Geography, Government, Business Studies and Accounts depending on their proposed course of study.

The following subjects are available during the programme:

Hostel Accommodation:
Hostel accommodation will be available for interested candidates.

1. Candidates are to pay application fee of ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) excluding bank charges on e-transact basis in any bank that is on e-transact platform.

2. Candidates are to complete and print the UABS Application Form online after payment by logging on to the Federal University of Technology, Akure’s website www.futa.edu.ng and click on the online UABS Application Form.

3. Submit the Online application form and print out a copy.

4. The application opens on Monday, 16th June, 2014 and closes on Friday, 31st October, 2014.

FUTA Admissions to Newly Approved Degree Programmes & Procedure for Change Of Course for Candidates not Given Admission 2014/2015

Applications are hereby invited for admission into the following Departments. Applicants should be qualified candidates who made FUTA their Most Preferred Choice Institution during the 2014 UTME. Such candidates must have scored not less than 180 in the UTME and not less than 45% in the P-UTME of the University. In addition, candidates must have taken the relevant UTME subjects and posses a minimum of five (5) relevant Ordinary Level/SSCE credit passes. The credit passes must have been obtained at not be more than two (2) sittings. Candidates who have been offered provisional admission need not apply. The Departments, relevant UTME subjects and the minimum required Ordinary Level/ SSCE subjects are as follows:

Note: Candidates should fill in their Ordinary Level/SSCE results in the space provided in the Form. They should be careful in the choice of courses by ensuring that the Ordinary Level/SSCE subjects fulfill the minimum requirements for the courses chosen.
