UNILORIN 2014/2015 Postgraduate School Fees

The Postgraduate School of the University of Ilorin has released the fees and charges payable by PG students for the 2014/2015 academic session. The UNILORIN Postgraduate fees released are broken down into various charges (University charges, Faculty Charges and others) for Masters (MA, MSc, etc.), PhD and Postgraduate Diploma students.

EKSU CGDS Full Time Postgraduate Programmes 2014/2015 Application Out

EKSU Centre for Gender and Development studies full time postgraduate programme application form for 2014/2015 session is now out on sale. Interested members of the public as well as prospective students are hereby informed.
 
Ado-Ekiti hereby wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following full-time Postgraduate Programmes of the Centre for Gender and Development Studies (CGDS) for the 2014/2015 Academic Session:

1. Postgraduate Diploma in Gender and Development Studies
2. Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work
3. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Gender and Development Studies
4. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Social Work
5. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Gender and Development Studies
6. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Work

About EKSU Centre for Gender and Development Studies (CGDS) PG Programmes

The programmes are designed as both professional and academic experience focusing on development issues, especially as these relate to women, children, and the vulnerable groups, thereby catering for the diverse and pressing demand for professional practice in both public and private sectors of the developing nations.
Objective
The overall objective of the programmes is to build appropriate skill and capacity for the understanding and analysis of a wide range of development issues.

Thus, relevant desk officers in government agencies and non-governmental agencies; those who desire to train as (1) social welfare officers, (2) gender analysts for academic institutions, government/private sector organisations and NGOs; and those willing to further their academic pursuit in either Social Work or Gender and Development Studies are eligible for admission into any of the programmes.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

1.) Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work
Candidates for admission into the programme must be holders of:

1. A bachelors degree not below third class honours in any discipline from a recognized University;
2. Any approved equivalent professional qualifications (to bachelor’s degree) recognized by the Senate of the Ekiti State University;
3. Relevant professional qualifications such as HND Social Work, other related disciplines and approved equivalent qualifications.

2.) Postgraduate Diploma in Gender and Development Studies
Admission into the Postgraduate Diploma in Gender and Development Studies Programme is open to holders of:

1. A bachelor’s degree not below third class honours in any discipline from a recognized University;
2. Any approved equivalent professional qualifications (to bachelor’s degree) recognized by the Senate of the Ekiti State University;
3. Relevant professional qualifications such as HND in Gender and Development Studies, other related disciplines and approved equivalent qualifications.

3.) Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Gender and Development Studies

Candidates seeking admission into the Master of Science Degree in Gender and Development Studies must possess a minimum admission requirement of Second Class Lower (Honours) in relevant disciplines from a reputable University.
While candidates with a background in Gender Studies, Development Studies, and the Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Economics, Demography and Population Studies) qualify for a direct admission, graduates of other fields must possess a Post Graduate Diploma of at least an upper credit grade (i.e. a minimum GPA of 3.5) in Gender and Development Studies to be eligible for admission.
A candidate having a Post Graduate Diploma in Gender and Development Studies with a minimum grade of Upper Credit (i.e. a minimum GPA of 3.5) and a Third Class Honours in any discipline from EKSU or a recognised University may be considered for admission into the M.Sc. Programme.

4.) Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Social Work

An applicant for admission to the Master of Science Degree in Social Work must possess a minimum admission requirement of a Second Class Lower (Honours) in relevant disciplines from a reputable University. Candidates with background in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Social Studies, Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Health Education, Mental Health, Psychiatry, Public/Community Health, Nursing, Law or any other related fields shall qualify for a direct admission into the MSW Programme while graduates of other fields must possess a Post Graduate Diploma of at least an upper credit grade (i.e. a minimum GPA of 3.5) in Social Work to be eligible for admission.
A candidate with Postgraduate Diploma of at least an upper credit grade (i.e. a minimum GPA of 3.5) in Social Work and a Third Class Honours in, any discipline from EKSU or a recognised University may be considered for admission into the MSW Programme.

5.) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Gender and Development Studies

Admission into the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Gender and Development Studies is open to candidates who must have passed the M.Sc. degree in Gender and Development Studies with a minimum weighted average score of ‘B’ or ‘60.0’ (B) either from Ekiti State University, or any other recognised university.

6.) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Work

Admission into the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme in Social Work is open to applicants who possess a Master’s Degree with a minimum Weighted Average Score of ‘B’ or ‘60.0’ in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Gender and Development Studies, Public Health. General Requirements

All candidates must possess a minimum of five credit passes at GCE/SSCE Ordinary Level (obtained at not more than two sittings) including English Language and at least a P7 in Mathematics.

How To Apply For EKSU CGDS Postgraduate Programme 2014/2015

(a) An application Fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira only (N 15,000.00) is to be paid via E-transact into any of the following Banks:

1. First Bank PLC, EKSU Branch
2. Wema Bank PLC, EKSU Branch
3. Zenith Bank PLC, EKSU Branch
4. Access Bank PLC, EKSU Branch
5. Enterprise Bank PLC, EKSU Branch
6. Eco Bank PLC, EKSU Branch

(b) Candidates are required to log on to www.eksu.edu.ng, using Etransact receipt to download the application form.

(c) Attach photocopies of credentials to the duly completed form and submit same at the General Office of the School of Postgraduate Studies, EKSU. Candidates should note that the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies must receive reports and officially dispatched transcripts of academic records of each applicant before his/her application could be processed.

Application forms are obtainable throughout the year. However, only completed Application forms received not later than Friday, 12th December, 2014 will be processed for admission for the 2014/2015 Academic Session.

All other forms purchased or submitted after this date shall be processed against the 2015/2016 Academic Session accordingly.

UDUSOK Released 2014/2015 Postgraduate Admission List

UDUSOK postgraduate admission list for the 2014/2015 academic session has been released by the management of the University. The released Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto PG list has been uploaded to the the official website of the PG school at pg.udusok.edu.ng. If you applied for admission into the University for any postgraduate programme, you can now check your admission status.
 

Candidates who want to check their admission on the released UDUSOK Postgraduate admission list should follow the outline below:

Go to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University PG admission-checking portal located at pg.udusok.edu.ng to confirm.

what you can do is to enter your Application No and Password, then click on Login button to view your admission status.

The following are the two important updates the University wants students to know:

• Important Notice: Newly confirmed students should NOT generate payment invoice or make any attempt to pay for now until they are instructed to do so. Absolute compliance is advised.
• NEW ANNOUNCEMENT: Newly admitted PG candidates can come for confirmation of their admissions now
