2014 International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Manchester in UK

University of Manchester is offering excellence scholarships for international undergraduate students within the faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. All international students who are holding an offer of a place within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences will be automatically considered for a scholarship. Up to ten scholarships of £2,000 per annum for well qualified students will be awarded. Application should be submitted till 30th June 2014 for entry in September 2014.

Scholarship Description:

Duration of award(s): 
These scholarships will be renewed for each year of full-time study at the University of Manchester, up to a maximum of four years and subject to students’ sustained academic performance.

Area Cover:
The value of scholarship is £2,000 per annum for well qualified international undergraduate students.

Selection Criteria:
Each scholarship will be awarded on the basis of a student demonstrating high performance in their High School final year examinations (or equivalent) and the academic references on their UCAS form.

NWDTC 2014 Postgraduate Studentships for International Students at University of Manchester in UK

University of Manchester offers postgraduate studentships for international students in the field of Economics, Social Anthropology, Sociology, Social Statistics and Politics. Studentships are available for undertaking postgraduate taught and postgraduate research program at University of Manchester. These postgraduate studentships are offered for 3 or 4 years (full-time) and 6 or 8 years (part-time) depending on programme. Studentships are awarded on the basis of academic merit/research. 2014, International PhD Studentships in SCI/School of Social Sciences at University of Manchester in UK

University of Manchester is offering up to 5 PhD studentships for international students within in the SCI/School of Social Sciences. Applicants must have minimum merit (or overseas equivalent), including a minimum 60% course work average (with no mark below 50%) and a dissertation mark minimum of 60% in a relevant social science discipline, to be eligible for these studentships. PhD Studentships are awarded for three years which include home/EU tuition fees, annual maintenance stipend up to  £13,863 and £1000 for research and conference expenses.

-Everyday Practices; Understanding consumer choices, habits and routines and how they can become more sustainable.

-Visions and Politics; Exploring alternative framings of sustainable consumption and the politics underpinning them.
-Evidence; Developing novel methodologies to advance the evidence base on sustainable consumption.
