The College Of Education Ekiadolor  has announced that the ongoing strike has been called off and official academic activities has resumed. All students of the institution are hereby informed.
 
Academic activities for the 2013/2014 academic session has resumed at the College Of Education, Ekiadolor after the long indefinite strike was called off. Lectures has begun officially from Tuesday 2nd December 2014. All students are advised to resume for academic activities on campus. All prospective COLBEN students should also note that the 2014/2015 post utme of the school has been scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 9th December 2014.

Niger State College of Education Minna admission registration procedure for the 2014/2015 has been released. This COEMinna registration procedure concerns both freshers and returning students of the school.  We hereby inform College Students (Seniors and prospective candidates) that the Registration for the 2014/2015 Academic Session began on the 24th November 2014.

College of Education, Ekiadolor Renamed After Tayo Akpata

The College of Education, Ekiadolor, in Edo State, formerly a college of education, has renamed Tayo Akpata University of Education. The man being honoured was the Commissioner for Education in the old Bendel State. Governor Adams Oshiomhole announced the decision at the funeral service for the deceased at Central Baptist Church, Benin.
 

The Governor also explained that the College of Education, Ekiadolor, was upgraded to the status of university of education by the Edo State government in 2014.

“It is now to be known as the Tayo Akpata University of Education,” he said.

So, for those who do not know, College of Education, Ekiadolor (COEEKI) is now a University of Education and has been renamed after Tayo Akpata.

AOCOED Update 7 Weeks Strike Continue

Former Lagos State College of Education now Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Lagos, had embark on her strike seven weeks ago over unpaid remuneration and allowances to its staffs by the state government for 18months.

However, activities had shut down at the premises, all sundry effort to call it off by the student unions and other able forum had fell on sloppy ground of staff,hence they insist until the state government put measure in place to meet their target thus the striking action persist till further awareness.

We implore the Lagos State Government to ensure quick respond to this ugly situation.

Shocked: Female Suicide Bomber Hits Federal College Of Education In Niger State

A lone female suicide bomber has detonated a bomb at the Federal College of Education Kontagora in Niger State. Apart from the suicide bomber, no one died in the attack. Security sources told Saharareporters that several students sustained injuries from the attack.

Shocked: Lecturer Lynched and Burnt to Death By Angry Youths

Alhaji Kassimu Umar a lecturer in Taraba College of Education has been lynched and burnt to death by some angry youth after he ran over five primary school pupils aged between 8 and 11 with his car and killed them.

The unfortunate incident which took place in the early hours of Friday was said to have occurred when the lecturer tried to dodge a trailer.

Mr. Umar knowing the gravity of what he has done ran into the Pupule Police station to take refuge.

However, some angry youths in their hundreds stormed the station and took the lecturer away.

He was beaten to stupor and set ablaze.

The Taraba State Police Command Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), Mr Joseph Kwaji has confirmed the incident.

Investigation into the incident has commenced but no arrest has been made so far.
