NYSC Director General - General Safety of Corps Members Non-Negotiable

The Director General of the Nigerian Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Brigadier General J.B Olawumi is assuring Nigerians that the safety of the Corp members is non-negotiable, as they need to be alive, strong and healthy before they can contribute effectively to the country’s national unity and economic development.
 
“Safety of corps members is paramount to us at NYSC and is non-negotiable. We will continue to do everything to keep corps members safe and secure and we will also continue to respond promptly to anyone of them who is in distress in any form.” He stated.

According to Leadership, the NYSC DG over the weekend made this statement while visiting Mr. Oluwagbenga Babatunde, a corps member involved in an auto accident on his way to orientation camp and currently on admission at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin, Edo State.
